TasTEA Time! Lotus Tea (Sinclair Trading Co.)

What:  Green Tea with Lotus

Where:  Vietnam

Why Should I Care:  This was actually the first random tea I got at the Oriental Market.  Lotus is a musky, fruity tasting thing (if you've ever had mooncake, you know what I mean) and I figured that it'd make an interesting tea.  Fun Fact:  This tea is supposed to be great for if you need to get to sleep and also to promote liver function and good skin.

Packaging:  By far one of the weirdest ways of packaging I've ever seen.  First, the box is wrapped, then the sachets are in a foil bag and lastly, there are two sachets per cellophane baggie.  I don't know if it's as effective as the...normal way, but props to them

Non-taste Senses:  It's a yellow-green color and it smells like lotus (which is hard to describe other than floral and kinda heavy and musky).

Taste:  The taste isn't very heavy but it has that nice hint of lotus and decent green tea.  The lotus gives it this hint of sweetness while not being overly fruity.  It's great with sugar and I've had it cold.  All around, it's solid

Overall:  I'm tired.  I need a good night's sleep before I go to Pitt tomorrow and I think that if you're not into the whole chamomile/spearmint sleepy-time tea, you should check it out.  Oh, it's cheap too.

My Rating:  Buy it!  If you see it, check it out.
